MEETING OF THE DISCUSSION CLUB “COOPERATION BETWEEN GOVERNMENT BODIES AND LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT WITH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS” IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SCIENCE FESTIVAL-2021

On May 17, 2021, a Discussion Club was held on the topic: “Cooperation of authorities and local governments with civil society organizations” in the framework of the Science Festival-2021. Students of the specialization 281 “Public Administration” and teachers of the Department of Public Administration and Business Administration and Department of Economics and Public Administration of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management took part in the event.

The moderators of the Discussion Club were: Borys Karpinsky, Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, and Victoria Vovk, a student of the UFP-31s group, the head of the “Derzhavotvorets” club. It should be pointed out that 40 persons took part in the event. During the Discussion Club, students made reports on cooperation between the state and local government, the role of public opinion, the degree of cooperation between government and the public, the role of new technologies in the development and strengthening of such dialogue.

In particular, Vovk Victoria (supervisor – Reshota O.A.) spoke on “Problematic issues and further prospects for establishing communication links between public authorities and civil society institutions in Ukraine”, Golych Marta (supervisor – Vaskivska K.V.) – “Legal forms of public administration in Ukraine”, Koziy Khrystyna (supervisor – Vaskivska K.V.) – “Increasing local budget revenues based on stimulating the development of small business”, Drozd Julianna (supervisor – Reshota O.A.) – “Features of the formation of capable united territorial communities”, Markevich Anna-Maria (supervisor – Gerasimenko O.V.) -” Problematic aspects of cooperation of public organizations and local governments “, Steblyk Natalia (supervisor – Reshota O.A.) -“Modern aspects of cooperation of state bodies authorities and civil society organizations”, Koziy Olena (supervisor – Komarnytska H.O.) -“Digital services in social policy”, Muchychko Karolina (supervisor – Vaskivska K.V.) -“Political and legal destruction of power as a problem of civil society development”, Dyatel Serhiy (supervisor – Gerasimenko O.V.) -“Polish experience of cooperation between the state and civil society”, Bodnarchuk Ulyana (supervisor – Vaskivska K.V.) -“Public-private partnership as a mechanism for implementing social policy”.

 In general, students and teachers discussed the current state of civil society and its institutions, the level of approach of public authorities to the population, methods and prospects for improving the effectiveness of cooperation between state and public institutions to improve welfare and improve social performance. In addition, attention was paid to such aspects as methods of attracting revenues to local budgets and local communities, the quality and necessity of providing digital services to the population, foreign experience of cooperation between the state and the public, the role of public-private partnership in social policy in Ukraine.

Therefore, the Discussion Club was held at a high educational level. Thanks to all your participants for active and fruitful cooperation.
