ADVANCED TRAINING “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION”

Hanna Komarnytska, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Doctor of Economics, Borys Karpinskyy, Professor of the Department, and Olena Gerasymenko, Associate Professor of the Department, completed the advanced training course “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education” from the Expert Committee on Artificial Intelligence Development under the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the NGO “Progressive”, which took place on 7 November – 23 November 2023.

The programme of the advanced training course included lectures and trainings, including:

– Open lecture “Artificial Intelligence: Formation”

Speaker: Oleksiy Molchanovskyi, Chief Innovation Officer of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Head of the Expert Committee on Artificial Intelligence Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine

– Public discussion “Transformation of education in the era of artificial intelligence”

Speakers: Diana Khrushchova – Project Manager of Artificial Intelligence, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine;

Nataliia Shakhovska – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems, Lviv Polytechnic National University

Denys Hrynev – PhD in Engineering, Head of Educational Programmes at EPAM Ukraine, Vice President for Educational Affairs at IT Ukraine Association

– Open lecture “Artificial intelligence in the EdTech industry: A simple case study”

Speaker: Dmytro Voloshyn, Co-founder & CTO of Preply

– Open lecture “Can computers think? How artificial intelligence works”

Speaker: Dmytro Fishman – Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Tartu, lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University, Chief Science Officer and Founder at BetterMedicine

Speaker: Artem Artyukhov – International Engineer-Pedagogue (ING. PAED. IGIP), Head of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group at Sumy State University, member of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.

Upon completion of the training programme, the participants received a certificate of advanced training in the amount of 1 ECTS credit (30 hours)
