Round table discussion on the topic:

“Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area: Experience and Strategies”

 

The event was organized by the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Financial Management and Business in terms of the Jean Monnet project.

 

The roundtable was attended by students and the teachers of the Faculty of Financial Management and Business, as well as the guests (scientists, experts, representatives of business and public sector). The participants examined, analyzed and discussed the following issues:

  • theoretical essence of the concept of “Free Trade Area”
  • economic and legal principles of operation of the DCFTA by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU
  • socio-economic, political and legal implications of the implementation of the DCFTA in Ukraine. Analysis of real opportunities and threats
  • first experience of the DCFTA in Ukraine. Interesting facts and stories of success.

Each students’ report was accompanied by interesting discussions.

As a result, the roundtable participants agreed on the need to continue and strengthen the cooperation initiated by teachers and students of Financial Management and Business with external scientists, experts, representatives of businesses and public organizations in the area “Economy in European integration”
