REPORTING SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE OF THE UNIVERSITY: SUBSECTION OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

On February 3, 2026, at the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Financial Management and Business, a sectional meeting was held as part of the 2025 Report Scientific Conference of the Ivan Franko University, which was attended by the department’s teaching staff and graduate students.
Conference participants analyzed and discussed a number of topical issues regarding the results of scientific work at the Department of Public Administration and Business Management in 2025 and the directions of development of the department for 2026. The speakers were the head of the department, Professor Hanna Komarnytska, and the deputy head of the department for scientific work, Professor Borys Karpinsky. During the conference, reports were heard on the development of a system for training public administration specialists through cooperation with business in challenging conditions; modern strategies for managing change at various management levels in conditions of martial law and post-war reconstruction of the state. Methods and applications of smart solutions in agglomeration centers were considered. Opinions were exchanged on the institutional development of local self-government bodies, the integration of artificial intelligence into public administration, and mechanisms for forming and neutralizing risks in public-private partnerships. They considered the basic aspects of public interaction with local self-government bodies in the context of transformations and other issues related to public management and administration.
Postgraduate students of the department also presented topical reports on their dissertation research and actively participated in discussions.
In general, the scientific reports of the meeting participants were accompanied by lively discussions and realistic proposals. As a result, those present at the sectional meeting of the Reporting Conference decided on the topics of the next joint and individual scientific research, based on both the priorities of the department’s development and the implementation of specific tasks of the department’s scientific research theme for 2026.
