How design thinking works in a team: intensive student research group “Business Analytics”
On May 8, 2025, a meeting of the student scientific circle “Business Analytics” (head – Prof. Iryna SHEVCHUK) was held at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management on the topic: “Design Thinking Technologies in Project Team Management”.
💬 The focus of the event is the development of team interaction, leadership qualities, and the practical application of design thinking tools in digital business.
Speakers are students of the educational program “Information Technologies in Business”:
- KOLESNYK Karolina (UFE-11s) — 10 mistakes of managers in working with a team.
- IGNATENKO Margarita (UFE-11s) — Determining the strengths and weaknesses of the team: a test for the DISC personality type.
- DIDUKH Tetyana, KHVOSTYUK Yaroslav (UFE-21s) — Cases of applying design thinking in teamwork on creating an Instagram page for the pizzeria “Kebabtsa”.
- BARYLYAK Yuriy (UFEM-11s, Middle Full-stack engineer of the IT company Classtime) — Teamwork in IT companies: pros and cons, and how to use the full potential of the team.
🧠 The participants not only listened to the speeches, but also took the DISC test, discussed its results and:
✅ formed optimal teams for a real case – bringing a digital product to the market
✅ analyzed how personality type affects management and problem-solving styles
✅ learned to communicate effectively in a team with representatives of different DISC profiles
✅ tried themselves as project managers, strategists, communicators
