WE CELEBRATE THE INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY

On May 18, 2021, students and teachers of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management held an educational hour dedicated to the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MUSEUMS. Every year since 1977, the International Museum Day has been held around the world on May 18. Discover the events organized for the International Museum Day on the map from the International Museum Day website. This day is an occasion to raise awareness of how important museums are in the development of society. The ISOM Advisory Committee organizes the theme of this event, which takes into account a large number of countries. This holiday lasts a day, a weekend, a week or even a month. For the event in 2021, the International Council of Museums ISOM approved the theme: “The future of museums: reinventing and rethinking.” On this occasion, students of the group UFP-31s. (curator Bobko L.O.) prepared interesting information about the work of museums in Lviv. In particular, the head of the group Vovk Victoria told about the traditions of the Lviv Natural and Historical Museums, and student Trachuk Anna acquainted the audience with interesting programs for the holidays, in particular: State Memorial Museum of Mykhailo Hrushevsky – “Selfie in the Presidential Garden”, Museum of the History of Religion – “Crimea. People. History. Today “, the National Museum named after Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky – a museum quest” Gifts of the Metropolitan “and a master class in engraving, Potocki Palace -” In the world of castles and palaces: how knights and ladies lived in ancient times “and others. The speakers noted that today museums have become centers of spiritual revival and national-patriotic education of young people.
