Two teams from the Faculty of Finance and Business Management are the winners of the 3rd All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Tournament “FINCUP-2025”

During March-April 2025, two teams from the Department of Financial Management of the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation” of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv participated in the All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Tournament “FinCup-2025”, which was held at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the basis of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and united young people from all over Ukraine.

The tournament was held in 3 stages: Stage I – in March, when testing was carried out in the LMS Moodle system for participants from all over Ukraine on the basis of the servers of Karazin University; Stage II – in April, during which the jury members evaluated the creative works of the participants on the topic of financial literacy. As part of the III stage, which took place at the end of April, the teams completed the online quest “Financial Journey: From Beginner to Investor” using the methodology of the financial and economic game “Life Capital”.

About 50 teams took part in the tournament, including two teams from the Department of Financial Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management – ​​“YunFin” and “Dividend Princesses”. The teams were coached by associate professors of the department Dariya Popovych and Olga Sych. Having demonstrated deep knowledge of financial disciplines during testing, both teams advanced to the second stage, where they presented creative videos on financial topics and collected a huge number of likes on social networks. As a result, both teams reached the finals and took third place.

We sincerely congratulate the participants of the YunFin team (Viktoria Ogrebchuk, Hanna Taranenko, Eva Altukhova, Anastasia Shchekodina, Myroslava Kozik, Diana Khomik) and the representatives of the Dividend Princesses team (Sofia Matviyiv, Victoria Grenyukh, Olena Zubalska, Oleksandra Ishchyk, Sofia Vantsura, Yana Gabrylchuk) and their coaches with the prize places!

We thank the participants for their perseverance, deep knowledge, creativity and teamwork on the way to victory in the tournament, because they became ambassadors of financial culture among the youth of Ukraine!
