For the second year in a row, a joint project of the Department of Financial Management and the consulting company KPMG to introduce elements of dual education for bachelor’s degree applicants of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” has been ongoing. As part of the project, students are preparing joint research on the activities of leading companies in the Western region under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Financial Management, Olga Sych and Iryna Yasinovska. KPMG representatives share their knowledge and experience, which helps students successfully implement research projects and further their education.

An online meeting with KPMG representatives occurred on May 1 as part of this cooperation. The meeting was opened by the head of the company’s Lviv office, Maksym Voitsekhovsky, who outlined the company’s place in the global market and global employment prospects for young people. The meeting participants learned about the areas of work and the characteristics of the departments and got acquainted with internship opportunities at KPMG from Olga Poltorak, a talent search specialist. The students communicated with the company’s employees who started their professional journey at KPMG while still in their student years. Young specialists Nadiya Yurchyk, Anastasia Zayachuk, Vladyslav Turchaninov, and Oleg Buzko offered mentoring support to the students during their research.

Ahead lies the painstaking work and presentation of the results of teamwork before a commission consisting of teachers and practitioners in the field of finance.

Thanks to KPMG and the active participation of Maksym Voitsekhovsky, the students gain valuable experience and practical training, which contributes to their successful career start. The Department of Financial Management expresses sincere gratitude to the company and its head for supporting educational initiatives!
