TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TOOK PART IN THE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY FORUM 2026

On 19 February 2026, lecturers from the Department of Financial Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv took part in a large-scale educational event – the Academic Integrity Forum 2026.

The event was dedicated to identifying effective approaches to ensuring integrity in modern conditions, particularly in the context of the practical implementation of the provisions of the new Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”, signed on 29 January 2026.

The Forum’s programme covered a wide range of topical issues that are critical to modern higher education:

• legislative changes: analysis of the new “rules of the game” in accordance with the relevant law;
• artificial intelligence: discussion of the ethical and legal aspects of using AI in the educational process, rethinking learning from control to academic responsibility;
• international experience: practices of implementing open science principles and the UK’s experience in ensuring integrity;
• business and integrity: the relationship between academic ethics and future professional integrity in the business environment.

As a result of their active participation in the Forum events and panel discussions, representatives of the department (in particular, acting head of the department, Associate Professor Oksana Zakhidna, Professor Ulyana Vatamanyuk-Zelinska, Professor Yuliia Shushkova, Associate Professor Vira Kruhliakova, Associate Professor Lyubov Petyk, Associate Professor Dariya Popovych) received certificates of professional development.

The participation of teachers in such events underscores the commitment of the department’s scientific and pedagogical staff to adhere to high ethical standards and implement the most modern approaches to ensuring academic integrity in the educational process.
