Students of the ЕP “Information technologies in business” visited the Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska

During the war, the theater is one of the places of strength for Ukrainians!

On October 17, 2024, students of the ЕP “Information Technologies in Business” (UFE-41 c group) together with the advisor of the academic group, Professor Iryna SHEVCHUK, visited the Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska, where they watched the famous ballet “Giselle” by the French composer Adolphe Adam.

The expression “I know for sure: the impossible is possible” reflects the main idea of the ballet “Giselle” – it is a story about how the power of love and forgiveness can overcome even the limits of life and death. In the plot of the ballet, the heroine Giselle, who dies of a broken heart after her lover’s betrayal, returns as a ghost, but instead of revenge, she forgives her lover and saves him from death. This plot symbolizes that even in the most tragic circumstances, forgiveness, revival of feelings and transformation of pain into the power of love is possible. The impossible – the victory of good over death and evil – becomes possible due to Gisele’s spiritual purity and self-sacrifice.

The plot of the ballet “Giselle” acquires a special depth if considered in the context of events in Ukraine. The indomitability and resilience of the Ukrainian people, who in the conditions of war prove every day that even the most difficult circumstances cannot break the will to life and freedom, are a vivid example of how the impossible becomes possible.

As in the ballet “Giselle”, where the heroine turns pain and betrayal into forgiveness and protection, Ukrainians, despite the loss and tragedy, find the strength to rebuild the destroyed and move forward. Love for the native land, mutual support and faith in the future become the force that helps overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. The events in Ukraine are an example of how a people, united by a common goal and desire for freedom, turns tragedy into hope and builds its future even in the most difficult times.
