Anastasiia Zastrizhna and Liubomyr Semenchuk, first (bachelor’s) degree students of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Lviv National University, have successfully completed their internships within the framework of the First Opportunities Academy 6.0 project and received the relevant certificates.

The ceremony of awarding the certificates took place on March 6 at the Lviv OVA. The internship program, which lasted since November, provided young professionals with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in government and join the formation of a new generation of civil servants.

Anastasiia Zastrizhna and Liubomyr Semenchuk were trained in the departments of the Lviv Regional Civil Service Administration, where they were able to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies at the Department of Public Administration and Business Management to the practical activities of public authorities.

Participation in the Academy of First Opportunities was an invaluable experience for them. The internship allowed them not only to observe the work of government agencies, but also to actively participate in the processes.

Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Branch of the Academy, said during the presentation of the certificates: “Such an internship is an opportunity to see how government agencies work from the inside, to try your hand at such work, and to suggest changes. Over the past two years, 258 young people have successfully completed internships at the Lviv Regional State Administration, and 15 of them were employed immediately after the internship.”

In total, 65 people have started internships in the program this year, including representatives of both civilian and military universities.

We are proud of our applicants who have successfully completed their internships in government agencies. This demonstrates the high level of theoretical training at our department and the ability of our students to apply their knowledge in practice. Such internship programs are extremely important for the professional development of future specialists in the field of public administration.”

It is worth noting that the Academy of First Opportunities is a project organized by the Lviv Regional State Administration for the sixth time, and the Yavoriv District State Administration for the third time. The program allows young people to gain unique experience in public administration, replenish the database of youth human resources, and prepare for a career in government.

The Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Lviv National University will continue to support its students in such initiatives that promote their professional development and increase their competitiveness in the labor market.
