Nazar Tomkiv, a student of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, won third place in the annual amateur tennis tournament “Unity Cup”

On May 24, 2025, the annual amateur tennis tournament “Unity Cup” was held at the Sports Complex of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Students, postgraduates, teachers and employees of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv took part in the competition.

The organizers of the event are the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Primary Trade Union Organization of Employees and the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students.

In total, 28 participants volunteered to participate in the tournament. According to the results of the nine-hour competition and intense struggle, the winners were Roman Strus, a postgraduate student of the Faculty of International Relations, and Sofia Maksymiv, a student of the Faculty of Geography, and the finalists were Vlad Koshuba, a student of the Faculty of International Relations, and Lidiya Yemelyanova, an associate professor of the Department of International Economic Analysis and Finance of the Faculty of International Relations. Third place in the competition was won by Nazar Tomkiv, a student of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, and Natalia Shayda, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Journalism.
