Scientific seminar of postgraduate students of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management
On 21 May 2024, the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted the traditional annual scientific seminar of the department’s postgraduate students. The purpose of the event was to present the results of postgraduate research, exchange views with fellow academics and receive recommendations for dissertation research.
The seminar was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Financial and Business Management Andrii Stasyshyn, who stressed the importance of science for the recovery and development of Ukraine in the post-war period. The guarantor of the educational and scientific programme “Public Management and Administration” Hanna Komarnytska informed the applicants for the third (educational and scientific) degree of higher education about new regulations and changes to the defence of scientific degrees.
The seminar featured discussants Natalia Paterukha, Maria Ustymenko, Dmytro Pfister, Vitaliy Lyuliava and Roman Sayevich, whose reports provoked positive impressions and lively discussions. The event was also joined by first-year postgraduate students Vitaliy Feliseev and Oleg Kharchyev, who presented their own work.
The postgraduate students presented the results of their activities for the 2023-2024 academic year, including scientific publications, participation in conferences and university events, the results of information education and prospects for further work. The faculty of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management noted the relevance and innovation of the PhD students’ dissertation research topics.
The seminar resulted in the testing of research results, motivation for further development and improvement, as well as recognition of the scientific significance and innovation of the ideas of each topic of the PhD research.
The event was held as part of the celebration of the Festival of Science – 2024. The teaching staff of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management and the supervisors of the postgraduate students actively participated in the discussion, provided comments, offered scientific ideas and suggestions. The seminar became not only a platform for the exchange of scientific information, but also an opportunity to receive practical advice and recommendations.
