SACE – 2025: Olena Herasymenko Enhances Global Academic Communication Skills

Olena Herasymenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, has successfully completed the international program “Strategic Communication in English for Global Academic Excellence” (SACE – 2025). This certification course was designed for academic and administrative staff of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and other Ukrainian higher education institutions to enhance standards of English-language academic communication.On December 29, a formal closing ceremony took place with the participation of the Rector of the University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Roman Gladyshevskii, Program Director Associate Professor Iryna Odrekhivska, and representatives of the International Cooperation Center. This initiative marked the conclusion of a comprehensive cycle of courses (2022–2025) that brought together over 300 participants into a powerful interdisciplinary community capable of implementing ambitious projects for the University’s future.For Olena Herasymenko, participating in this series of courses was both a professional milestone and a personal challenge.“Every time before applying, I had to find the courage to dive into the studies. There was a natural hesitation: would my English be sufficient for fluent communication with colleagues? However, thanks to the motivating curriculum, my confidence grew, and I found myself eager to take on more advanced challenges. As a result, the number of courses I teach in English is steadily increasing,” the lecturer noted.We sincerely congratulate Olena Herasymenko on completing the course and thank the organizers for providing the opportunity to gain these vital professional communication skills, which open new horizons for Ukrainian higher education!
