The Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Doctor of Economics, Professor Hanna Komarnytska and the guarantor of the educational and professional programme ‘Public Administration and Business Management’ of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor Olena Reshota took part in a large-scale online meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, organised by the NGO ‘Progressive’.

The speakers were Oleh Sharov, Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education, and Maryna Mruha, state expert of the Expert Group on Higher Education and Adult Education.

During the meeting, important changes were discussed that affect many specialities and fields of knowledge. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science stressed that the reform of the fields of knowledge is being carried out to harmonise with the international classification and simplify statistical comparisons at the international level.

Particular attention was paid to the development of a new generation of competency-based educational standards to be implemented by 2027. The participation of the department’s representatives in such an important event demonstrates the active position of the faculty in the process of modernising higher education in Ukraine.
