On November 20, 2024, a psychological training “Pass/Fail. Session” was held for first-year students of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” of groups UFF-11 s, UFF-12 s and UFF-13 s.
During the training, the Psychological Service team shared practical advice with students on how to successfully pass the first session. Since the first session is perceived as a challenge, a critical situation and is accompanied by emotional tension (fear, anxiety, panic attacks), it is important to know how to calm these emotions, organize your time during preparation and directly at the session.
Of course, knowledge of the subject adds more confidence to the exam, but psychologists gave several important tips that will help you prepare for the session as best as possible. Namely:
– give up taking sedatives – they slow down brain activity and prevent you from concentrating, instead use psychological techniques to calm your emotions, plan the necessary time for sleep, walks in the fresh air, physical activity;
– to facilitate the perception and memorization of information, you need a healthy diet. Fill your daily diet with food rich in protein, vitamins and trace elements;
– determine your own preparation goals for yourself, which will become effective motivators for you;
– during preparation, set the right priorities: plan everything that needs to be done in each subject and the sequence of completing tasks.
And, of course, success is impossible without self-confidence. Even small victories add confidence. Break complex tasks into small ones, which will allow you to get rid of procrastination and you will successfully pass this life test!
