Professional Development of Faculty Members of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management on “Emotional Health of Educators: Psychological Resilience and Self-Care” by the NGO “Progressilni”

From November 19 to 22, 2024, faculty members of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Faculty of Finance and Business Management, Professor Hanna Komarnytska and Associate Professor Olena Reshota, successfully completed the online professional development program “Emotional Health of Educators: Psychological Resilience and Self-Care,” organized by the NGO “Progressilni” and the Charity Fund “Right to Protection.”

As part of the program, the participants had the opportunity to attend a series of lectures from leading experts in the fields of psychology and psychotherapy:

  • “Mental Health of Educators in Conditions of Chronic Stress” – Lecture by Maria Yatsukhnenko, psychotherapist, organizational consultant, co-author of the educational resource and book “Psychologist on the Line.”
  • “Chronic Fatigue and Emotional Burnout of Educators and Ways to Recharge” – Lecture by Maria Khomiv, psychotherapist, author of women’s projects, and facilitator of personal development groups.
  • “Internal Displacement and Life Abroad: What You Need to Know About Yourself or Students with Experience of Displacement” – Lecture by Karine Karapetyan, Senior Psychologist at the “Right to Protection” Foundation’s representation in Poland.
  • “Hidden and Open Violence in the Work of Educators: How to Recognize and Counteract It” – Lecture by Kateryna Tyshchenko, psychologist and trainer at the “Right to Protection” Foundation.
  • “Trauma-Informed Teaching” – Lecture by Anna Shiychuk, psychotherapist, psychologist, and advisor for the psychological assistance program at the “Right to Protection” Foundation.

After completing the course, Professor Hanna Komarnytska and Associate Professor Olena Reshota received professional development certificates with 1 ECTS credit (30 hours) upon successfully passing the final test.

The program not only enhanced knowledge in psychology and emotional health but also provided practical tools to maintain psychological resilience in professional activities, which is particularly crucial in today’s stress-filled environments, especially in education.
