Preparation and defense of course projects by masters of the ЕPP “Information Technologies in Business” in cooperation with MEEST INTERNATIONAL

On November 26, 2024, a public defense of coursework by students of the ЕPP “Information Technologies in Business” of the second (master’s) level of higher education took place in the Lviv office of the postal and logistics company “MEEST INTERNATIONAL”.

The event was a logical continuation of the cooperation of the Department of Digital Economics and Business Analytics with stakeholders of the educational program, within the framework of which students:

investigated the work of the main players in the postal and logistics services market; substantiated the conceptual principles of design and development of services and software tools for calculating postal customs payments;
analyzed the state and prospects for the development of the Ukrainian postal and logistics services market;
simulated different levels of load on the postal delivery network branches depending on the change in the radius of consumer service in the city of Lviv, and also visualized this process in order to ensure optimal load distribution between branches and the efficiency of their work;
substantiated the directions for improving the business processes of postal and logistics companies using expert analysis methods.

The commission included the guarantor of the educational program “Information Technologies in Business” of the second (master’s) level of higher education, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Iryna SHEVCHUK, Candidate of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Iryna BORSCHUK and Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Assoc. Prof. Bohdan DEPUTAT.

Head of the sector for work with postal items from Europe Stanislav TYMCHYSHIN and Head of the sector for foreign economic activity Yulia DOLINSKA also listened to the speeches of the masters.

The higher education students had the opportunity to present the results of their work to business representatives and answer numerous questions from the commission and the audience. Everyone successfully coped with the task, and the knowledge and experience shared by MEEST INTERNATIONAL representatives strengthened the students’ research and helped to present it at the proper level.

Training future specialists in cooperation with employers allows us to bring education closer to market requirements and provide students with the necessary skills for a successful career.

The Department of Digital Economics and Business Analytics is grateful to MEEST INTERNATIONAL and PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Igor ROMANУCH for the initiative and successful establishment of cooperation with the company in such an innovative format. We plan further progressive measures within the framework of this cooperation aimed at business development, improving students’ professional competencies and achieving new heights.
