Participation of the Lecturers of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management in the Academic Integrity Forum

On February 20, 2025, the academic staff of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management took part in the Academic Integrity Forum, which was held in a hybrid format at Vinnytsia Technical Professional College. The event was organized with the support of the NGO “Progresylni” and the Progressivity Island of Vinnytsia Technical Professional College, in cooperation with the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.

The Forum was aimed at identifying effective approaches to ensuring academic integrity in educational activities under modern conditions, taking into account the challenges arising from the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process. Participants had the opportunity to discuss ethical aspects of applying modern digital technologies in higher education, particularly in terms of preventing academic plagiarism and manipulation of academic texts.

As part of the Forum’s program, key topics related to maintaining academic integrity were addressed. Among the speakers were leading experts, including Artem Artyukhov, Chair of the Ethics Committee of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance; Mariia Khmara, Associate Professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; Oleksandr Tkachenko, Head of Educational Programs at EPAM Campus; as well as representatives of the Vinnytsia IT Association and TIRAS Technologies.

Participants showed particular interest in discussions concerning the challenges and opportunities of integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process, specifically regarding academic writing, the verification of qualification works using Turnitin, and fostering a culture of integrity among students.

As a result of their participation in the event, Associate Professors of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Halyna Dzyana and Olena Reshota, received professional development certificates, confirming their competence in the areas of academic integrity, information literacy, and the implementation of innovative approaches in educational practice.
