Participation of the Department of Financial Management in the International Scientific and Practical Conference

On November 6, 2025, the Lviv University of Trade and Economics became the center of discussion of current financial challenges, holding the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems of the Development of the Financial and Economic System: Priorities and Prospects”. For the fifth time in a row, the Department of Financial Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv co-organized the event. Teachers and applicants of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” – bachelors and masters – actively participated in the conference.
The plenary session presented the research of Associate Professor Olga Sych “Tools for the Reconstruction of Ukraine: Revitalization and Digital Solutions”.
Student scientific achievements were presented in sections. In particular, the second-year master of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” Daniela Melnychuk presented a report “Modern approaches to assessing the financial stability of trading enterprises” in the section dedicated to trade development.
The conference confirmed its international status, bringing together representatives of 30 higher education institutions and scientific institutions from Ukraine and abroad. Among the participating cities: Katowice, Wroclaw, Rzeszow, Lublin, as well as leading scientific centers of Ukraine (Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv and others).
The participants focused on the most pressing topics:
– the economy of Ukraine under martial law;
– transformations of the banking system and monetary policy;
– strategies for the development of trade and logistics;
– budget policy and the efficiency of public spending;
– development of capital markets and investment attraction.
The event became a fruitful platform for exchanging experiences and establishing professional connections. Participants actively commented and discussed the reports, which emphasizes the high quality of the presented scientific works. At the end, all speakers were awarded certificates.
