During October, bachelor’s degree students of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs” took part in several international youth exchanges.

Thus, Svitlana Bronska (UFF-41) had the opportunity to attend a short-term ESC (European Solidarity Corps) volunteering in France, thanks to the Erasmus+ international youth exchange program.

The purpose of the exchange was to protect and clean the territory from pests in the protected wetland area of the pond. Representatives of six countries participated in this project. It was a great experience that allowed me to deepen my knowledge of the English language and explore the culture and traditions of the host country. The impressions of the participants cannot be expressed in words, because the understanding that Ukrainian youth joins European volunteering and their work benefits nature is very gratifying. In addition, the project provided an opportunity to present one’s country at a decent level, to introduce national cuisine and traditions, as well as to tell about the realities of every Ukrainian in wartime conditions.

Kateryna Omelianchuk (UFF-44) took part in the international youth exchange of the Erasmus+ program within the project “The Exodus for Peace & Human Rights”, which took place in Italy. The goal of the project was to learn and explore the culture, knowledge, migration realities and problems of the participating countries and the people who represent them, to dispel stereotypes about these countries. Young people from eight countries took part in this exchange, which made it possible to communicate with representatives of different cultures. Thanks to this, the participant gained invaluable experience, learned to communicate in an international environment, and improved her knowledge of the English language, as well as had the opportunity to share Ukrainian culture and talk about the situation in the country.

Participation in international youth exchanges contributed to the acquisition of new knowledge in the field of sustainable development, rights and freedoms of citizens. Such projects improve soft skills and expand networks of like-minded student youth, help in the formation of a successful specialist in the future.
