Participation of representatives of the Department of Financial Management in the lecture hall of the Small Academy of Sciences
Assoc. Professor of the Department of Financial Management Olga Sych joined the lecture for participants of the Small Academy of Sciences held on the Zoom platform on October 22.
The organizer of the lecture was the Communal Institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Small Academy of Sciences for Pupil Youth”. The project was coordinated by Tetyana Perepelitsa, methodologist, leader of the “Path to Self-Realization” group. More than 40 students of grades 8-11 of Lviv and territorial communities of the Lviv Region took part in the online lecture.
Olga Sych gave a lecture “Post-war reconstruction of cities – EU experience for Ukraine”, presenting the results of research carried out at the department of financial management within the framework of the Jean Monet Module international project to the students. On the cases of post-war reconstruction of London, Warsaw, and Sarajevo, students tried to identify the challenges that post-war cities face in creating their future. The listeners got acquainted with the scenarios of the transformation and revitalization of Ukrainian cities based on European practices and chose the best examples for implementation in their own cities and communities. The participants of the event jointly formed the principles on which the post-war reconstruction and transformation of Ukrainian cities should be based, so that they become greener, more inclusive and digital. At the conclusion of the lecture, the audience agreed not to stop in the study of the best practices of the European Union in the transformation of their cities and to implement this experience, acquired in particular by the sister cities of Ukraine, to implement successful revitalization practices within their own communities.
