Participation of representatives of the Department of Financial Management in international conferences

During April, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management Olga Sych took part in two international scientific and practical conferences.

On April 3-4, the International Conference “Enterprise and Region – Local, National, and Global Transformation Challenges” was held in a mixed format at the University of Rzeszów (Poland). In addition to Polish universities, the conference was co-organized by educational institutions of the Czech Republic and Ukraine – the M. Dolishny Institute of Regional Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Sych O. delivered a report “The Role of Business in Sustainable Community Development” within the section dealing with the regional dimension of entrepreneurship.

On April 9, the Ninth International Scientific Conference “Prospects for the Development of Entrepreneurship from a Global Perspective” was held online at the University of Lodz, Faculty of Management. The conference was co-organized by the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ege University (Turkey), the M. Dolishny Institute of Regional Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Intellectual Space NGO (Ukraine), and the International Strategic Management Association (Greece). The conference brought together about a hundred scholars in the field of international relations, economics, and law from Poland, Malta, Turkey, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the USA, and Ukraine. In addition to the plenary session, eleven parallel sections were held, one of which – “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Global Challenges” – was moderated by Olga Sych together with Tomasz Bernat, professor at the University of Szczecin. At the conference, Sych O. presented a report “Circular Economy as a Tool for Sustainable Development”.

Both events became platforms for exchanging experience, discussing innovative ideas and modern approaches to regional development, sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship, and overcoming crisis phenomena.
