Guarantors of educational programs of the Department of Economics and Public Administration participated in the round table of the Employers’ Council of I. Franko Lviv National University
In order to develop partnership between Franko University and representatives of the labor market, strengthen cooperation between the educational and professional environments, as well as improve educational programs in accordance with modern requirements, the Head of the Department of Economics and Public Administration, Prof. Halyna Kaplenko, together with the guarantors of educational programs of specialty 281 “Public Management and Administration”, took part in the round table “From Dialogue to Results: The Functioning of the Employers’ Council of Ivan Franko Lviv National University”, which was held with the participation of representatives of the University administration, guarantors of educational programs and partner employers on October 29, 2025.
The event was aimed at discussing the mechanisms for the effective operation of the Employers’ Council at the level of the university, faculties and departments of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, identifying common priorities in the development of quality education, training competitive specialists, and strengthening the role of employers in shaping the content of educational programs.
Representatives of employers — stakeholders of the department’s educational programs — also participated in the roundtable discussion from the Department of Economics and Public Administration: Danylo Sorokovy, Executive Director of the Association of Local Councils “Councils of Lviv Region”, and Maryana Ivashyna, Head of T&D Halychpharm (ARTERIUM), Head of the Lviv HRD Association.
The participants discussed areas for improving the training of higher education graduates, ways to update educational programs in accordance with the needs of the labor market, as well as the role of employers in shaping the professional competencies of future graduates.
Danylo Sorokovy, in his speech, emphasized the importance of constant dialogue between the university, stakeholders, and employers, which ensures the real correspondence of educational results to the expectations of the labor market and society.
The event demonstrated the active position of the Department of Economics and Public Administration in developing a partner network aimed at the quality of specialist training, the integration of practical experience into the educational process, and the expansion of employer participation in providing educational programs.
