On April 3, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management Olga Sych held an open lecture on the topic “The International Precious Metals Market”.

The event was held as part of the “International Finance” course for first-level (bachelor’s) higher education students studying under the Educational and Professional Program “Finance, Customs, and Taxation” (academic groups UFF-24-26s).

The lecture material was presented in a modern, interactive format. The open lecture clearly demonstrated the lecturer’s extensive use of digital teaching methods, interactive platforms, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in creating educational content.

During the class, students had the opportunity to absorb information through:

  • Watching thematic video materials and informative presentations;
  • Analyzing rich digital content in the format of dashboards, tables, figures, and diagrams;
  • Interactive engagement on the Kahoot platform, where the audience could check their understanding of the studied material.

The audience actively interacted with the speaker, answering questions and summarizing what they had heard. This approach allowed the listeners not only to master basic concepts and terms but also to:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the operating mechanisms of the precious metals market;
  • Learn how to analyze relevant financial instruments;
  • Prepare for forming and making well-grounded evaluations of financial decisions in this specific field.

The academic staff of the Department of Financial Management joined the discussion and attended the lecture, including the Acting Head of the Department Oksana Zakhidna, Professors Yuliia Shushkova and Ihor Nazarkevych, and Associate Professors Viktoriia Dubyk, Nataliia Blashchuk-Deviatkina, Liubov Petyk, Orest Myshchyshyn, Sofiia Smolinska, and Iryna Yasinovska.
