Open lecture by Prof. Eva Kalve “Balanced Scorecard Method in Strategic Management”

On October 7, at the invitation of the Department of Financial Management, an open lecture by Professor Ieva Kalve “Balanced Scorecard Method in Strategic Management” (Riga Stradins University, Latvia) was held online.

The meeting was attended by more than 70 people, including bachelor’s and master’s degree students of the “Finance, Customs and Tax Affairs” educational program, lecturers of the Department of Financial Management, and guests.

From the first minutes of the meeting, it was felt that the lecturer has been working with students, entrepreneurs, and professionals for many years, helping them in strategic management, project implementation, and digital transformation. In an interesting and interactive way, the lecture attendees learned about the essence of the balanced scorecard method, its emergence, and evolution. Then, using practical examples, the lecturer demonstrated the stages of forming a balanced scorecard, the logic of construction and the connections between indicators. At the end of the lecture, the participants learned about the challenges and features of building a balanced scorecard in commercial and non-profit organizations, educational institutions. The meeting ended with answers to questions related to the digitalization of the balanced scorecard construction process, applications recommended for use, and the possibilities of involving AI in the development of a strategic map.
