Non-formal Education of the First (Bachelor’s) Level Students of the Educational Program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”

Non-formal education quickly responds to labor market demands. It increases the competitiveness of future graduates.

Students of the bachelor’s program “Finance, Customs and Taxation” took part in a series of trainings. These trainings were called “Adapting to the New Reality”. The training series was part of the Erasmus+ project “SEAL-NR: Skills Enrichment for Adaptive Leadership in the New Reality”. The students joined this project during their course “Financial Management of Small Business”. The course is taught by Iryna Yasinovska, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management.

In particular, students Dana Andriiashko, Anastasiia Havryliak, Viktoriia Halun, Khrystyna Halchuk, Yuliana Dymich, Tetiana Kochish, Yuliia Khoina, and Daryna Shvaiko successfully completed the trainings. The total volume of the program was 90 hours (3 ECTS credits).

During the project, the students studied entrepreneurial thinking. This type of thinking is an essential skill in the 21st century. The participants gained knowledge about the full cycle of business projects. They learned how to generate and develop business ideas, create startup products, and scale startups.

Furthermore, the students learned about modern approaches to adaptive leadership. They improved their skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making. The participants also mastered tools for effective communication in international and digital environments. They gained valuable practical experience through active participation in trainings, workshops, and interactive sessions.

In conclusion, participation in these trainings became an effective tool for developing the professional potential of the students.
