Studying at the “Teaching Skills Improvement Courses” at Lviv University

During January-June 2022, teachers of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics, Faculty of Finance and Business Management, Iryna Shevchuk, Oksana Vaskiv, Anna Zadorozhna and Anna Starukh participated in online training at the “Teaching Skills Improvement Course” and successfully completed it, receiving appropriate certificates. In general, the Course lasted from January 27 to June 4, contained 6 credits (180 academic hours of work) and consisted of the following 5 modules:

  • “The system of higher education of Ukraine. Academic Integrity” – 1 credit (30 hours) Of them: 22 hours. (theory – lectures) and 8 h. (practical task – independent work;
  • “Soft Skills of Higher Education Teacher Competencies” – 1 credit (30 hours) Of which: 16 hours. (theory – lectures) and 2 p.m. ( individual work);
  • “Information technologies in the educational process” – 1.5 credits (45 hours) Of them: 20 hours. (theory – lectures) and 25 hours. (practical task – independent work);
  • “Possibilities of the teacher when using the Moodle platform” – 1 credit (30 hours) Of them: 20 hours. (theory – lectures) and 10 h. (practical task – independent work);
  • “Pedagogical innovations. Professional (scientific) brand of a teacher” – 1.5 credits (45 hours) Of them: 26 hours (theory – lectures) and 7 p.m. (practical task – independent work).

In the course of online education, there was an active combination of academic education with digital technologies, mastering the skills of working in the Moodle e-learning system, followed by the formation of one’s own e-course on the specified platform.

Distance internship under the professional development program “Improving teaching skills” gives teachers the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and implement innovations that were mastered during the training process
