Scientific seminar: “USE OF IT AND MATHEMATICAL MODELING IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE DOMESTIC ECONOMY IN WARTIME CONDITIONS”

On April 1, 2025, a scientific seminar was held at the Department of Digital Economics and Business Analytics of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on the topic “Use of IT and Mathematical Modeling in the Analysis of the Functioning of the National Economy in Wartime Conditions”, the participants of which were teachers of the department and applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty 051 “Economics” of the ЕP “Information Technologies in Business”.

Modern challenges associated with military operations significantly affect economic processes in Ukraine. In conditions of instability, destruction of production facilities, disruption of logistics chains and changes in market structure, it is necessary to promptly analyze economic processes and predict their development. One of the most effective tools for such analysis is information technology (IT) and mathematical modeling, which allow assessing economic risks and predicting their consequences, modeling strategies for economic recovery after military operations, and analyzing macro- and microeconomic trends in real time.

The use of IT solutions and models based on artificial intelligence helps businesses quickly respond to changes, make informed decisions, and reduce the negative impact of military actions on the economy. The scientific seminar is aimed at discussing the latest methods of mathematical modeling, modern IT tools, and their application in the analysis of the national economy in times of crisis.

The presented topics of the reports interested and provoked discussion among the participants of the scientific seminar, both the teachers of the department and the applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty 051 “Economics” of the ЕP “Information Technologies in Business”.
