Acquisition of knowledge and practical skills on the features of information and analytical support of business processes and business analytics by students of higher education and teachers of the department of digital economy and business analytics within the framework of the round table “Information and analytical support of business processes in companies of Ukraine”

On October 29, 2024, at the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the teachers of the department, Iryna BORSCHUK and Oksana VASKIV, organized a round table on the topic: “Information and analytical support of business processes in Ukrainian companies.” Mr. Vlad LESHCHIY, financial director of British American Tabacco Ukraine, PhD in Economics, certified by CIMA “Business Performance Management”, who has 8 years of experience as a financial director in a large international company, and in 2023 took 2- th place in the rating of financial directors of Ukraine (CFO Ukraine).

The round table took place in a mixed on-off line format in two stages. The speaker familiarized the audience with the features of information and analytical support for business processes at British American Tabacco Ukraine, as well as with the possibilities of completing the 18-month Global Graduates internship program for students and graduates of the educational program “Information Technologies in Business” specialty 051 “Economics”. The event was attended by teachers of the department and students of groups UFE-21s, UFE-31s, UFE-41s, UFE-11s of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education, specialty 051 “Economics” OPP “Information Technologies in Business”, who spoke with reports on the subject of the meeting, viz:

  • ВAleria Zubach (UFE-21): Information and analytical support of business processes in Ukrainian companies;
  • Solomiya Zvarych (UFE-41): Modern electronic business: the information system of a clothing store and the physical model of its database;
  • Sofia Tymchyshyn (UFE-41): SWOT analysis as a business analytics tool;
  • Karina Gvaradze (UFE-41) and Olena Kovalchuk (UFE-41): Danger of operation of Nova Poshta branches in war conditions: risk assessment and risk management of the company;
  • Iryna Mikhalchyshyn (UFE-41): Modern information systems for automating business processes;
  • Maryna Yaremchuk (UFE-41): Key metrics for evaluating the productivity of outstaffing teams: an analytical approach;
  • Iryna Yakovets (UFEM-11): The role of information technologies in the analysis of market processes of Ukrainian companies;
  • Victoria Kozerema (UFEM-11): Optimizing business processes using SERVICENOW.

During the event, a lively discussion took place, in which teachers of the department and students of the first and second level of higher education, specialty 051 “Economics” of the OPP “Information Technologies in Business” took part. Mr. Vlad LESCHIY noted the high level of training of the students of the Department of Digital Economy and Business Analytics and their subject knowledge in the field of information support and business analytics.
