International guest lecture by Ewa Kuzionko-Ochrymiuk, Doctor of Economics, University of Białystok

On February 18, 2025, teachers of the Department of Digital Economics and Business Analytics, students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education of the OOP “Information Technologies in Business” specialty 051 “Economics” had a wonderful opportunity, together with students of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems of the State Tax University, to listen to a guest lecture on the topic “Key aspects of modern integration of management information systems.”

Lecturer – Ewa Kuzionko-Ochrymiuk, Doctor of Economics, (Ph.D) of the Faculty of Management, University of Białystok. Research interests include the functioning of e-administration, public administration, information society, innovation, human capital and negotiations. She has published over thirty scientific articles, participated in many scientific conferences in Poland and abroad. She is also a member of the organizing committees of national and international scientific conferences and participated in many scientific research projects and applied scientific research funded by state institutions and European institutions.

During the lecture, the following topics were discussed:

key factors in the development of the digital economy;
digital business models;
the most popular threats in cyberspace;
digital competencies;
features and types of integration of management information systems;
the benefits of IS integration and the challenges associated with this process;

The lecture was given in English.

The lecture materials will be used to improve the educational process for the OPP “Information Technologies in Business”.
