Meeting of Students from UFP-11s Group, Educational Program “Public Administration and Business Management” with Representatives of the Regional U-Point Office of U-Report Project in Lviv
On November 14, 2024, a meeting took place between students of the UFP-11s group of the educational and professional program “Public Administration and Business Management” and Maria Kormylo and Olena Heryak, representatives of the regional office of U-Point Lvivshchyna of the U-Report project. U-Report is a digital platform by UNICEF that unites proactive youth, allowing them to express their opinions and seek to influence change in the country.
The meeting was organized at the invitation of the head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management at the Faculty of Finance and Business Management, Professor Hanna Komarnytska.
Maria Kormylo and Olena Heryak presented the U-Report project, discussed its goals and opportunities for students, shared interesting facts, and conducted a quiz among the participants. The most active students received commemorative prizes.
The U-Report project aims to gather the opinions of young people aged 14-34 on various aspects of public life, such as the environment, volunteering, media literacy, and more. The results of these surveys help communicate the views of youth to key stakeholders, promoting initiatives and changes at both the national and local levels. For example, U-Report contributed to the opening of a youth center in Lviv, the launch of a national entrepreneurship development program, and the incorporation of survey results into the development of Ukraine’s National Youth Strategy until 2030.
Maria Kormylo and Olena Heryak invited students to join the U-Report community and become drivers of change, emphasizing that “Your opinion matters” for the development of the country.
We sincerely thank Maria Kormylo and Olena Heryak for their engaging and inspiring presentation, as well as for the opportunity to learn more about this important initiative that gives a voice to youth and fosters positive changes in Ukraine. The U-Report community is indeed a significant step toward building a more progressive and democratic society, and we look forward to further collaboration and participation in the project.
