Meeting of masters of the department of public administration and business management with representatives of student self-government bodies and the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine

Two graduate students of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Educational Program “Public Administration and Business Management”, Marusya Kormylo and Anzhelika Kulchytska took an active part in the meeting of representatives of the student self-government bodies (SSG) with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisov and his deputy Mykhailo Vynnytskyi.

The event, which traditionally took place on the eve of the Student’s Day, was organized by the Ukrainian Student League. The meeting held in Kyiv became a platform for a constructive dialogue regarding current challenges in the field of education.

Student self-government bodies are a school of democracy and managerial activism. For students of the “Public Management and Administration” specialty, participation in the activities of OSS is a practical opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired within the framework of the educational program. Thanks to this specialty, future managers acquire important skills, including:

– effective organization of team work;

– creation of a transparent and accountable decision-making system;

– building dialogue between students, teachers and administration;

– development and implementation of initiatives contributing to the improvement of learning conditions.

This activity helps students develop leadership, critical thinking and management skills. Participating in student government allows you to better understand the nature of public administration, feel responsible for decision-making, and prepare for a future career in public administration or business.

The participation of students in such events confirms that young people are the driving force of change. Their activism and knowledge of public management and administration are an important basis for solving modern challenges in education and society.
