Meeting of applicants for higher education in “Public Management and Administration” with a stakeholder

The “Days of the University” have begun.

Lecture-meeting of applicants for the higher education of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of education in the speciality “Public Management and Administration” (Department of Economics and Public Administration) with a stakeholder. Yaroslav Koval (Head of the Interregional Department of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service in Lviv and Zakarpattia oblasts) gave a lecture: “The right to civil service. Innovations in the civil service “.

Communication with potential employers on a regular basis is the key to successful career guidance for our higher education seekers. You always need to have sufficient information about innovations, trends and requirements of the labour market.

Yaroslav Koval provided theoretical material and factual information in an accessible form. Peculiarities of work in the civil service, who has the right to civil service, principles of activity of a civil servant, changes to the current legislation, passing of competition for vacant positions, changes in the evaluation of results of activity of a civil servant.

Feedback was also from teachers of the department and students of higher education. The necessary competencies of the future graduate in the speciality “Public Management and Administration” were discussed. What professional and social skills should a modern civil servant have.

Yaroslav Koval invited applicants for higher education for internships in government: “… such experience contributes to further employment not only in the civil service but also in other areas of activity.”

In the future, thematic meetings were scheduled on a regular basis.
