Masters of the Department of Financial Management Reach the Finals of the All-Ukrainian Taxation Olympiad
On April 15, the State Tax University (Irpin), with the support of its partner A1 Consulting, hosted the final of the All-Ukrainian Taxation Olympiad 3.0. This year, the first round saw more than 500 participants from 38 leading higher education institutions across Ukraine.
Only the strongest reached the decisive stage – students capable of solving complex tax cases and demonstrating in-depth analytics.
Oleksandra Oliinyk, a Master’s student at the Department of Financial Management, successfully navigated all qualifying rounds to become a finalist. During the final competition, she presented a case solution closely aligned with the real-world demands of modern business. Her public defence before an expert jury confirmed Oleksandra’s high stress resistance and professionalism: she confidently argued her position, handled challenging questions from practitioners, and demonstrated exceptional critical thinking.
As a result of Oleksandra Oliinyk’s performance, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv received an official letter of gratitude for training highly qualified specialists in the field of taxation. This recognition highlights the professionalism of the teaching staff at the Department of Financial Management and the alignment of its educational programs with current labour market demands.
“You weren’t just solving cases – you were showcasing your own vision and approaches. This is the level that shapes the future leaders of the industry,” noted the jury members while evaluating the finalists’ performances.
Participation in events of such calibre proves once again that Master’s students of the “Finance, Customs, and Taxation” program possess more than just theoretical knowledge; they have the ability to tackle real-world challenges, shaping the future of Ukraine’s financial system.
