Forum “SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT: PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND INNOVATION”

On March 5, 2025, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management of Lviv National University Hanna Komarnytska took part in the Forum “SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT: PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND INNOVATION”.

The forum was organized by the Department of Administrative and Financial Management of Lviv Polytechnic National University, in particular by Nazar Podolchak, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the AFM Department, Head of Tech StartUp School, Director of Lviv Polytechnic Science Park, and became a significant platform for discussing the role of Ukrainian universities as strategic hubs for the development of the country’s geopolitical influence.

During the panel discussion, participants focused on the integration of Ukrainian educational and scientific institutions into the international scientific and educational space, the development of new partnerships, and the importance of military science and education for strengthening national security.

Professor Hanna Komarnytska took an active part in the discussion of key issues:

– the role of universities in strengthening Ukraine’s geopolitical influence in the international arena

– ways to integrate Ukrainian universities into the European and global educational and scientific space;

– the contribution of universities to technological development and post-war recovery of Ukraine.

This Forum is an extremely important event for the Ukrainian educational community. Here we had the opportunity not only to exchange views with colleagues from leading Ukrainian higher education institutions, but also to hear the consolidated position of representatives of government, business and local government. The international dimension of the discussion was especially valuable due to the participation of representatives of universities from the UK, Poland and Latvia.”

As a result of the discussion, the participants identified the main areas for further cooperation between Ukrainian universities and international partners and ways to use education as an important tool for strengthening Ukraine’s diplomatic and economic ties.

The experience gained and contacts established during the Forum will contribute to the development of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management and strengthen international relations.
