First steps in the scientific space: visiting the Scientific Library by applicants for the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation”

As part of the educational process, On October 14, 2025  a visit was made by applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” of the OPP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” of the groups UFF-11s (advisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Lyubov PETУK), UFF-12s (advisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Viktoriya DUBYK), UFF-13s (advisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Vira KRUGLYAKOVA)  to the Scientific Library of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The event aimed to familiarize applicants with the structure, functional units, and capabilities of the library as an important information and educational resource of the university.   During the meeting, students learned about the history of the library, the features of using the electronic catalog, the rules for accessing the collections, and the procedure for working in the reading rooms. Particular attention was paid to modern information services that provide support for students’ educational and research activities.The event contributed to the formation of skills in the effective search and use of scientific information among applicants, the development of academic culture, and the awareness of the role of the library as a center of knowledge and scientific communication.The Department of Financial Management of the Faculty of Financial Management and Business expresses sincere gratitude to the Head of the Promotion Sector of the Scientific Library of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, PhD in Philology, Victoria HREN for the informative tour, professional communication, and assistance in forming the information culture of students.
