Within the framework of the educational work plan of the Department of Financial Management, an educational event was held with students of the UFF-41s group (advisor – Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management Vira Kruhlyakova) of the first (bachelor’s) level of education of the OP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” on the topic “Taras Shevchenko – a prophet of today!”, dedicated to the 211th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding Ukrainian poet and figure.

Taras Shevchenko is not just a great poet, but also a true prophet, whose words, written over 150 years ago, sound relevant today. His poetry, full of pain for the fate of Ukraine, calls for the fight for freedom and independence, which is especially resonant in times of modern trials.

The purpose of this event was to deepen the students’ understanding of how the Kobzar’s words echo in our present day.

The participants of the meeting, together with the advisor, discussed how T. Shevchenko in his work constantly called on Ukrainians to unite, develop national self-awareness, and fight for an independent state.

His words “Fight – you will overcome, God will help you!” became a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit.

Today, when Ukraine is again fighting for its independence, the words of Taras Shevchenko sound more relevant than ever. His poetry is not only a literary treasure, but also a powerful source of national strength and faith in victory.
