Educational event on the topic «National identity as a component of national resilience»
On the occasion of the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day in Ukraine, higher education applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of the ЕP “Finance, Customs and Taxation” of the UFF-42s group level (advisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Lyubov Petyk) on May 16, 2025 took part in the educational event “National Identity as a Component of National Resilience”.
During the event, the applicants shared their thoughts on what a nation is, what forms a nation, what is the main criterion and identity of national identity, that the formation of national identity should be based on historical truth, national memory, dignity, national consciousness, patriotism, the creation of meanings, and other factors. The war was a great tragedy, but at the same time it was an impetus for the transformation of national identity, which plays a key role in forming a cohesive, conscious society, helping citizens resist informational influences, maintain faith in the future of their state, and support its sovereignty. Awareness of a common language, culture, history, and values creates a foundation for the unity of a people, especially in times of crisis or external threats. Therefore, a strong national identity is not only a cultural value, but also a strategic resource that strengthens national resilience in a broad sense. Carrying out such events, especially in conditions of martial law, contributes to a deeper awareness among those seeking national identity as one of the factors in preserving the integrity of the state and strengthening it. After all, by nurturing and protecting our national identity, we strengthen our strength and resilience.
