On the occasion of the “Day of Dignity and Freedom,” which is celebrated annually on November 21, an educational event of a national-patriotic nature was held for the students of group UFP-11s, Educational and Professional Program “Public Administration and Business Management.” The event was organized by the group advisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Olena Reshota.

The “Day of Dignity and Freedom” was established to honor two pivotal events in the history of modern Ukraine: the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013-2014. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 872/2014, dated November 13, 2014, the “Day of Dignity and Freedom” aims to promote the ideals of freedom and democracy, preserve the memory of significant events at the beginning of the 21st century, and honor the courage and patriotism of citizens who stood up to defend democratic values, human rights, and the national interests of our state.

During the event, students became familiar with the events of the Orange Revolution and the stages of the struggle of Ukrainians for democracy during the Revolution of Dignity. Special attention was given to the events from November 21, 2013, to February 2014, when the people of Ukraine demonstrated their determination to preserve democratic values and the European path of the country’s development.

The event aimed to foster the development of civic consciousness and to form an active life stance among students, helping them understand the importance of continuing the struggle for democracy, patriotism, and freedom in modern conditions.
