Digitalization and the Path to the EU: Financial Management Students Join the “Shaping Tomorrow” International Project
An intensive week of lectures and workshops has kicked off at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv as part of the “Shaping Tomorrow – Ukrainian-German Dialogue” program, running from March 2 to March 6, 2026.
One of the opening events was the workshop “How Digitalization and LegalTech Help Ukraine Enter the EU Value Chain.” Students from the “Finance, Customs, and Taxation” program (group UFF-33), along with Associate Professors of the Department of Financial Management Olha Sych and Iryna Yasinovska, participated in the session.
The featured speaker was Elisaweta Cherner, a Sales & Business Development specialist at Wolters Kluwer. She presented the Legisway platform, which helps businesses digitalize contract management, compliance, and legal processes.
During the workshop, participants explored:
- Investment Attractiveness: Why digital transparency and clear contracts are decisive factors in being recognized as a reliable partner.
- European Experience: Drawing on examples from German and Dutch businesses, the speaker demonstrated how LegalTech tools shape efficient daily cooperation.
- Strategic Advantages: How digitalization allows Ukraine to position itself as a modern and competitive player in the European market.
A special emphasis was placed on the practical component—students engaged in team assignments that helped them better understand the mechanisms of Ukraine’s integration into the European economy.
Participating in this English-language workshop provided an excellent opportunity to enhance professional communication and teamwork skills. The “Going Global” concept enables students to gain expert knowledge from leading EU specialists and learn about international market challenges firsthand without leaving their home Alma Mater.
Today, technology is not merely a detail; it is a strategic advantage that makes Ukraine’s journey toward the European community faster and more confident.
