DIALOGUE WITH STAKEHOLDERS AND EMPLOYERS – AS A BRIDGE TO THE FUTURE PROFESSION
On November 13, 2024, within the framework of cooperation with business, a meeting of professors and teaching staff and students of higher education at the first bachelor’s and second master’s level of the specialty “Accounting and Taxation” of the educational and professional programs “Accounting, analysis and financial investigations” with stakeholders and employers.
The purpose of the event was to acquaint students with higher education with the current aspects of the work of an accountant, analyst, controller, civil servant, opportunities for career growth, as well as with modern requirements for the competencies of an accounting and taxation specialist, making changes and updates to the educational components of the educational program “Accounting , analysis and financial investigations”.
Representatives of private business, the public sector of the economy, utility companies and regulatory bodies were invited to the meeting. Among the guests: senior analyst of the Territorial Branch of the Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv Region Maksym Lazorko, head of the planning and economic department of the Lviv Communal Enterprise “Lvivelectrotrans” Oleg Burak, deputy head of the Department of Service of Managers of Funds of Local Budgets, Department of Service of Managers of Funds and Other Clients of the Main Department of the State Treasury Service Lyudmila Khakhula of Ukraine in the Lviv region, the chief specialist of the department of service of managers of funds of local budgets of the management of service of managers of funds and other clients of the Main Department of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region Yuliya Andreyko, director of Solus Agency LLC Yuliya Mosolova, Halyna Galamai, accountant of a leading consulting CFO. The moderator of the event was Doctor of Economics, associate professor of the department Anna Shot.
Acting Director addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech. head of the department, Doctor of Economic Sciences, associate professor Svitlana Pryimak, who called on those present to discuss and find solutions to current problems related to improving the formation of professional competences of specialists in accounting, analysis, taxation and financial investigations in the conditions of global integration processes, exchange the research experience of the scientific community and practitioners.
The meeting took place in a friendly working atmosphere. Students actively participated in the dialogue, asked questions and shared their opinions about the chosen profession. In particular, students were interested in the question of the need to know a foreign language and at what level; use of software; international standards of financial reporting, etc.
The department of accounting, analysis and control sincerely thanks the invited representatives of regulatory bodies and business for the opportunity of professional communication, updating the educational program and its educational components in accordance with the requirements of the time, for the opportunity for applicants to gain new knowledge and feel the importance and prospects of the chosen profession.
