On September 29, 2022, the adviser of the UFO-41s group, associate professor of the department of accounting, analysis and control S.M. Honcharuk. held an educational event with students on the topic “31st anniversary of Ukraine’s independence”

Students of the group: Maria Kravets, Yevgeny Zelinskyi, Vasylyna Khmyzovets prepared presentations on the theme of the event. They said that over the centuries, millions of Ukrainians fought for independence, went through betrayals, wars and famines. Having achieved such a dream of freedom and statehood, the generations of our contemporaries are forced to defend freedom and the European choice during revolutions, and later, with weapons in hand, defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state from the encroachments of its northern neighbor.

The Independence Day of Ukraine is celebrated in honor of the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR in 1991 of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine – a political and legal document that certified the new status of the Ukrainian state. Ukraine had a long way to its independence.

Ukraine’s independence is a natural consequence of the people’s long-standing aspirations. Ukraine gained its independence due to an exceptionally favorable coincidence of internal and external circumstances. After all, the democratization of social and political life gave an opportunity to activate the national liberation, democratic movement, whose traditions turned out to be particularly alive.

And for more than the last seven months, Ukrainians have been inspiring the world with their extraordinary courage and devotion to freedom. They resolutely and firmly oppose the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. And today is not only a commemoration of the past, but also a resounding confirmation that Ukraine proudly remains and will remain a sovereign and independent State.
