Commemoration of the Heroes of the November Order

On November 1, 2024, the academic community of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University celebrated the 106th anniversary of the November Order and the proclamation of the West Ukrainian People’s Republic. The event was attended by acting Rector, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Melnyk, vice-chancellors, deans, representatives of public organizations and local authorities, as well as the dean of the Faculty of Finance and Business Management A.V. Stasyshyn, deputy dean for educational work Yu.V. Shushkova, deputy chief Department of Accounting, Analysis and Control Loboda N.O., first-year students with advisors Zahidna O.R., Kruglyakova V.V., Popovych D.V., Vatamanyuk U.Z., Petryshyn L.P. The Honored Choral Chapel of Ukraine “Boyan” named after E. Vakhniak and the choir of the People’s Song and Dance Ensemble “Cheremosh” also joined the memorial events.
Representatives of the academic community of Lviv University paid their respects to the fallen heroes at the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen Memorial and to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Galician Army at the Yaniv cemetery. A commemorative memorial service and a public meeting were held near the Memorial of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
