Alexander Bevza, a Student of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Completed an Internship at the Lviv City Council
Alexander Bevza, a 2nd-year student (educational and professional program “Public Administration and Business Management”) of the Department of Public Administration and Business Management, Faculty of Finance and Business at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, completed a two-month internship at the Lviv City Council.
The internship took place within the framework of the “First Career Step” program, implemented by the Lviv City Mayor and the Personnel Management Office of the Lviv City Council. The program aims to attract talented young people to work in local self-government bodies.
Internship period: March 12 – May 8, 2026. The internship was carried out at the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, in the Department of Organizational and Legal Work.
During the internship, Alexander Bevza became acquainted with the activities of the structural units of the LMR, took part in the preparation of analytical and reference materials, handled citizens’ appeals, and studied the regulatory and legal principles governing urban mobility. The student demonstrated a high level of responsibility, initiative, and the ability to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in the practical field of public administration.
“The ‘First Career Step’ internship program became a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in the real work of the city council. I saw how managerial decisions are made, how the departments cooperate, and what role legal and organizational support plays in the field of urban mobility. The experience strengthened my desire to build a career in public service,” — Alexander Bevza noted.
The internship supervisors from the department praised the student’s proper preparation and motivation.
The Department of Public Administration and Business Management congratulates Alexander Bevza on the successful completion of the internship and expresses its gratitude to the Lviv City Council for fruitful cooperation. This type of practical training supports students’ integration into the real management process and helps develop the competencies required for a modern public administration specialist.
