Опис курсу

The “Investment Banking” is a normative course for the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Market”  and the “Finance, Banking, and Insurance” educational program. Taught in the first semester, it is a 3-credit course (ECTS).

The course is designed to provide students with the theoretical and methodological foundation of the techniques, methods, operations, and services used by financial intermediaries to support clients’ investment activities. It also aims to develop practical skills for students to apply in their future professional careers.

The primary goal is to provide students with a solid theoretical and methodological basis for mastering the practices of financial intermediaries in the field of investment banking.

The learning objectives of this course are to:

  • Define the essential characteristics and features of investment banking.
  • Master the theoretical foundations of forming strategy and tactics in the field of investment banking.
  • Study the areas of activity of financial institutions in investment banking (including investment lending and servicing financial investments) and the organizational conditions for its implementation.
  • Develop both theoretical and practical skills in risk management and monitoring within the investment banking system.
  • Acquire skills in comprehensively assessing the effectiveness of activities and making management decisions in investment banking.
