Course description
The subject of the discipline “Discrete Analysis” is the theoretical foundations of the mathematical apparatus, the laws in force in the field of discrete mass phenomena, methods of systematization, processing and analysis of mass discrete socio-economic data.
The purpose of studying the discipline “Discrete Analysis” is to form a system of theoretical knowledge and practical skills on the basis of the mathematical apparatus of quantitative analysis of discrete mass phenomena that are characteristic of various economic objects.
The main tasks of the discipline “Discrete Analysis” – study of such sections of discrete analysis as the basics of set theory, mathematical logic, combinatorics, relations, graph theory, the basics of algorithm theory, Turing machines.
Requirements for knowledge and skills
a) to know
- methods and techniques of mathematical modeling; mathematical apparatus;
- mathematical approaches to solving socio-economic problems;
- basic methods of combinatorics; basics of graph theory;
b) be able to
- perform actions on sets; build truth tables; make logical conclusions based on references, check the consistency of many statements;
- use quantifiers in the logic of predicates; solve combinatorial problems; to classify graphs;
- perform mathematical formulation of applied problems, apply basic mathematical methods.
