The discipline “Analysis and Visualization of Financial Data” is an elective discipline in the specialty D2 “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in 3 semesters in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The educational discipline “Analysis and Visualization of Financial Data” is aimed at developing knowledge and skills in higher education applicants, in particular regarding techniques and methods of data analysis and visualization used by executive authorities, local governments or private or state enterprises, institutions and organizations in the process of managing financial resources, as well as for the formation of practical skills, the application of which will contribute to successful study and future scientific and professional activities.

The purpose of studying the discipline is to form in-depth knowledge and skills in students regarding existing information systems and technologies for processing, accounting and visualizing financial information, their rational use, as well as practical skills for the effective application of modern information technologies in the process of carrying out financial and economic activities of enterprises and organizations.

The objectives of studying the discipline are:

• studying the theoretical and practical aspects of choosing and applying specific means and tools for visualizing the results of analyzing financial, economic and socio-economic information;
• forming theoretical and practical knowledge on building visualizations using relational databases;
• forming knowledge on the issues of searching and implementing financial data monitoring panels using modern tools and in the online space;
• using information technologies for decision-making in managing budget funds at the state and local levels.
