Course description

The discipline “Analysis and Visualization of Financial Data” is an elective discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs and Taxation”, taught in the 3rd semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The academic discipline “Analysis and Visualization of Financial Data” is aimed at developing knowledge and skills of higher education students, in particular, on the techniques and methods of data analysis and visualization used by executive authorities, local governments or private and public enterprises, institutions and organizations in the process of managing financial resources, as well as to develop practical skills, the application of which will contribute to successful learning and future scientific and professional activities.

The purpose of the discipline is to develop students’ in-depth knowledge and skills in existing information systems and technologies for processing, accounting and visualization of financial information, their rational use, as well as practical skills in the effective use of modern information technologies in the process of financial and economic activities of enterprises and organizations.

Objectives of the discipline:

– study of theoretical and practical aspects of the selection and application of specific tools and instruments for visualizing the results of the analysis of financial, economic and socio-economic information;

– formation of theoretical and practical knowledge of building visualizations using tabular databases;

– formation of knowledge on the search and implementation of financial data dashboards using modern tools and in the online space.

– use of information technologies for decision-making in the management of budget funds at the state and local levels.
