The discipline “Academic Writing and Integrity” is a normative discipline in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Market” for the educational program “Finance, Customs, and Taxation.”

The aim of the course is to develop students’ basic academic writing skills and competencies in the context of implementing and adhering to ethical principles and the rules of academic integrity established by current legislation in the processes of learning and conducting scientific (creative) activities to ensure the quality of education, trust in learning outcomes, and/or scientific (creative) achievements.

The objectives of the discipline are:

– to highlight the basics of academic writing;

– to reveal the peculiarities of citations in one’s own scientific text;

– to develop skills in searching for and analyzing literature on the research topic;

– to reveal the peculiarities of adhering to academic integrity during scientific, independent work, and preparation for practical classes;

– developing the ability to learn to be academically honest and create high-quality educational and scientific products;

– developing the skills and abilities of higher education students to prepare for oral presentations, create scientific texts, and apply elements of academic writing in their future professional activities, adhering to all norms and principles of academic integrity.
